Accessible Hostelries
Our commitment is to encourage and support all businesses in Wells to have made reasonable adjustments so they can classify themselves as accessible businesses.
Whilst Wells has many cafes, restaurants and pubs, and a few hotels, this page is a guide to those that are most adapted to meet the needs of disabled people.
Hotels
- Premier Inn: Located on the edge of town (10 minutes walk to the Market Place) and offering parking and accessible rooms the Premier Inn is the best place to stay.
- The Swan Hotel: If you really want to stay in the centre the Swan Hotel has just one room on the ground floor with level access and a walk in shower. However, the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible and you would need to take meals in the bar area.
Sadly, the historic Crown and White Hart hotels in the centre are not able to offer wheelchair accessible accommodation.
Cafes and Restaurants
Here we list only those that also offer an accessible toilet, so their location can also be found on our accessible Map
